This character is also not mine. He's Doyle from Laurell K. Hamilton's "Kiss of Shadows." I was practicing inking darkness (who better to use as a subject but "The Darkness"). This is much easier to do when you start dark and work light into it, as you can see from the conte sketch. The last image is a sketch of my hilt design for the sword Mortal Dread.
I often think the Merry Gentry series would make a great comic book, but then again they'd have to sell it in brown paper packages.
