The Amazing Roy C. O'Connor

The assignment was to illustrate a world record of our choice. Naturally, I chose something dark and morbid. Roy C. O'Connor is the man who was struck by lightning the most times. He was struck 7 times at different points in his life, almost as if there was some magical or holy element in him that attracted the lightning to him. Although he was badly burned each time he was struck, it did not kill him. He committed suicide over a lost love, so I portrayed him as having torn out his own heart.
