Ellen Million's Portrait Adoption is this really cool service where you can purchase original art for role-playing game characters. There are many very good artists there and many of the portraits are quite reasonable (you can buy a simple web-size package or a larger set with a print and everything). The idea being that the image then belongs to you, that it won't be copied by dozens of other RPGamers out there across the Internet. You get to choose a name for your character and get a certificate and everything.
